A couple of the mornings my husband and I went kayaking for a few hours by ourselves. The lake had a circumference of 8 miles and I think we just about covered every nook and cranny of the lake. Although, it is hard work, it's also very relaxing. It works the muscles and clears the mind. I have to admit I could have used a good massage after I was done!
There's just something special about spending time in the great outdoors. Life can be so busy and overwhelming that we forget to enjoy it. I enjoy trying to pay attention to every detail of nature I can find. I stare at the trees, the rocks, small animals wandering, little bugs swimming on the water, and mysterious objects that I find. I often think of years gone by and wonder what it was like back then at this park. I also try and remember my adventures once I am back in the day to day routine, so when everything gets crazy I can remember the little part of the great outdoors I experienced.
Its summer time, let me encourage you to find a way to relax and enjoy a bit of nature!
